Yarn Test Kitchen – Puget Sound LYS Tour Special
One of my favorite events on the PNW fiber calendar is the Puget Sound LYS Tour. Back in May I set myself a challenge to find eight complete projects (patterns and yarn), to pass on to some of my yarny friends for a Woolpack YTK LYS Tour Special. As I toured, I shopped with friends in mind, thinking of colors, designs and textures that they would all enjoy. I’m excited to reveal our creations!
Yarn Test Kitchen – Twisted Caster
This month’s Yarn test Kitchen was a fun and vibrant one. We were all delighted to knit and crochet with three fabulous skeins and a set of colorful minis from Twisted Caster Yarns. It’s a pleasure to show and share our makes with you!
Yarn Test Kitchen – April 2025, Spindelwicks.
How beautiful are these springtime colors? These fabulous skeins of Blue Faced Leicester yarn from Spindelwick’s brought us so much yarny joy this month and resulted in another fab four one skein wonders.
We took the Yarn Test Kitchen on tour this month, spending a morning at Seattle’s Stich Café. A great place to gather, show and share.
Yarn Test Kitchen – March 2025. Skagit Woolen Works.
We are so excited to share our marvelous March makes with you, knitted with happiness using Island Twist from Skagit Woolen Works. Creating with a yarn that is truly locally produced is a huge treat. Skagit Woolen works have created another wonderful house yarn with this blend of Romney fleece and Alpaca from the Puget Sound Region. Welcome to our March Woolpack Yarn Test Kitchen.
Yarn Test Kitchen – February 2025. Yarn Dragon
We are having a wonderful Fiber February here at The Woolpack! When it’s a little bit gray and rainy outside, it’s fun to gather with fiber friends to share our love for this yarny world we are happy to be a part of. This month we were treated to four fabulous skeins from Yarn Dragon – luxurious yarns from the heart of Seattle in Pike Place Market.

Hello 2025, and Hello Yarn Test Kitchen! We had the pleasure of kicking of the year with beautiful hand dyes from Though to Thread.
