Yarn Test Kitchen – LYS Tour Pattern Review
The 2026 Puget Sound LYS Tour may feel like a distant memory, but the fiber fun continues throughout the coming months with all of the marvelous free knitting and crochet patterns from the generous participating yarn stores. Here is our Yarn Test Kitchen round up of some of this year’s favorites.

Yarn Test Kitchen – HanJi from Aio Knit
In this latest yarn test kitchen we got to create and experiment with something a little different – a beautiful fiber from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. Hanji plant based yarn was a delight to craft with. This month crochet takes center stage in the yarn test kitchen with a guest appearance from macrame.

Yarn Test Kitchen – Huephoria Fibers
Four beautiful skeins of yarn from Huephoria Fibers danced across our needles over the past month to bring four more one skein wonders for The Woolpack Yarn Test Kitchen. Check out the fabulous scarves we made that are perfect for spring accessorizing, plus a totally fabulous pair of socks for cozy toes!
