Yarn Day Trip – Bellingham
Bellingham is an amazing destination for a spot of yarn tourism – three local yarn stores in and around the city center! In this first of a series of regular features, Woolpack Contributor Caitlyn shares all the details of her first yarn daytrip with friends of 2026.

Get Ready for Red Alder Fiber Festival 2026!
Red Alder is the First Fiber Festival on the PNW calendar and this year’s event takes place from Febraury 12-14, at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma. Here at The Woolpack we are rather excited about this boutique festival. It was a treat to find out more about what to expect this year from local designer, instructor and event organizer, Amy Snell.

A Day on the Farm in Carnation
Last weekend on a misty Autumnal Saturday I headed to Carnation Farms to host a color work knitting workshop. It was a day to remember – full of fiber friendship, adorable sheep, beautiful yarn and delicious food. I am already excited for the next one. Yarn Tourism – October 2025, Bath, UK
A couple of weeks ago I headed back to The UK to visit family and friends. Part of our travels included a visit to my Aunt and Uncle in Bath – a beautiful Georgian town in the southwest of England, and to my excitement home to two fabulous yarn stores.
