There’s Something About Sophie! A Woolpack Ravelry Round up

This is a great time to knit a skinny scarf. Late summer travel, a palette cleanser between larger projects or picking up your needles and hooks after a summer hiatus can all require a simple but satisfying project that is easy to carry and provides that satisfying quick win. You may have also noticed the first falling leaves that herald the changing of the season reminding you that soon there will be a slight chill in the air but it’s not quite sweater weather. A lightweight scarf that can be carried in your purse will be your friend over the coming weeks, trust me.

Most knitters will be aware of the Sophie Scarf, after all this Petite Knit design took the accessory knitting world by storm when it was first published in July 2022, and it has continued to delight ever since with a staggering 55.3k projects published on Ravelry. Ideal for both souvenir skeins and using up scraps, the Sophie Scarf continues to be a perennial favorite and here at The Woolpack we are here for it. However, a deeper dive into Ravelry will reveal options. Indeed, we have featured many of them over the past two years in the Yarn Test Kitchen. If you are looking for something skinny that looks as stylish as a Sophie, but want a little extra, here’s a Woolpack round up of some of our previously featured favorites and some others that are in my current queue. Maybe you will add them to yours?
